Raina’s life is threatened after she opens the door and enters an unnumbered room in the hotel run by her sister Fay. The figure of a woman with white hair and skin also makes her presence known.. The opening “S” from the true story of a haunted hotel in Semarang..
Seeing no problem with this advice, she immediately agrees and begins her first day of work
The film essentially follows the recruitment of “Ningram” (Hami Diah) from Indonesia as a maid at a hotel not far from Jakarta. On her first day, she is told that the 3rd floor is under construction and that she must avoid it at all costs. Then, to her surprise, she hears a woman’s sobbing – it turns out to be coming from a room on the 3rd floor.
Naturally, she immediately goes to investigate
Then, upon entering the room where the sound seems to be coming from, she stares in horror at an extremely pale woman with white hair, who whispers some strange words to her, causing her to run out of the room in fear. Sure enough, three days later she is killed by an unseen entity in the middle of the night. The scene then cuts to "Raina" (Luna Maya) being taken from her father to a hotel she has now inherited.
And like everyone else who comes to this hotel, she is told to go to the 3rd floor anyway
She is accompanied by her adopted, pre-teen daughter, "Fey" (Bianca Hello), who is looking forward to starting a new life in this foreign place. When they get there, she is greeted by her mother-in-law, who has been looking after the place for several years. Unfortunately, it is not long before she hears a woman crying from one of the rooms on that floor – and that is when the horror begins again.
While the acting is adequate, what lets the film down to some extent is its somewhat predictable plot and unsatisfying ending
Now, rather than give anything away, I’ll just say that this is an okay horror film that primarily benefits from its dark atmosphere and beautiful visuals. That being said, while it’s certainly not a great horror film by any means, it still held my attention for the most part, and I’ve rated it accordingly. Average.
